L’inconnu

Fadi Yachoui is a Lebanese multidisciplinary architect and industrial designer based between Milano and Beirut developing projects in the field of architecture, interior and product design in Italy, Beirut, Africa and the MENA region. Before establishing Atelier L’inconnu, he has garnered experience in various design offices in Beirut, Paris, London, Barcelona and Milan.

While architecture allows him to create places, it also presents him with the opportunity to build the components that populate them. The smaller scale and faster timeline kindled his interest, launching him into a sphere of cross-disciplinary creation focused on process, experience and craftsmanship. He considers everything in his daily life up for participation in the theatre of his interventions, constantly projecting new stories onto individual objects and spaces, induced by his frequent travels and changes in context.

He studied Architecture at the Lebanese American University in Lebanon and École Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris. Following graduation in 2013, he gained years of professional experience as an architect at Bernard Khoury / DW5 in Beirut and Piero Lissoni Associati in Milan before graduating with a Master’s degree in Industrial Design from the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milano. In the same year he won the competition “express yourself” for the famous italian Lavazza coffee company to design an espresso coffee machine which will be in production in 2023.

In 2019, he was selected to take part in Salone Satellite 2020 which is part of The Salone Del Mobile the largest furniture trade fair in the world held annually in Milan, Italy.
